The van stands at Todos Santos Plaza, so most of the city is about 23 minutes away. Clayton Valley, Martinez and Bay Point run longer, and each area page says by how much.
Concord neighborhoods
Inside Concord
Downtown & Todos Santos Plaza
~16 minThe square, the four streets around it, and the shops and restaurants on Salvio and Grant with apartments on the floors above. Market stalls on Tuesday and Thursday, the BART station two blocks off, tables outside until late. The van sits at the plaza, so sixteen minutes is the shortest run on the map.
Local pageMonument Corridor
~18 minMonument Boulevard and Detroit Avenue, with the fourplexes and two-story garden blocks on the streets between them. Buzzer panels at the courtyard gate, unit numbers that ignore the street, carports at the rear, and the largest share of renters in the city. Eighteen minutes from the plaza, and a lot of this work lands after six.
Local pageYgnacio Valley
~23 minThe long run of tract streets either side of Ygnacio Valley Road, laid out in the middle sixties and barely altered since. Single-story houses, wide driveways, garage side doors, aluminum sliders onto the back patio, and Mount Diablo at the end of most of them. Twenty-three minutes from the plaza.
Local pageClayton Valley & Crystyl Ranch
~26 minThe newer streets climbing east and north toward the hills, from the seventies through the nineties and later. Two-story houses on cut lots, side gates onto the yard, detached garages, long driveways, and gates that open on an operator. Twenty-six minutes from the plaza, the longest run inside the city.
Local pageSun Terrace & Meadow Homes
~19 minThe oldest of the postwar streets, flat and close-set, with small lots, garages facing the road, screen doors on the front and long-owned houses behind them. Nineteen minutes from the plaza, and most of this work happens between nine in the morning and the school run.
Local pageDana Estates & Holbrook Heights
~24 minThe hillside streets north-west of downtown, built at the end of the fifties and into the sixties. Split-level houses stepping up from the curb, carports and tuck-under garages, steps to a front door a half level above the street, and views back over the valley. Twenty-four minutes from the plaza.
Local pageBates Avenue & the yards
~23 minThe working east side of the city. Warehouses, machine shops, distributors and fenced yards along Bates Avenue, Solano Way and Port Chicago Highway, with steel doors in steel frames, chains on the roll-ups and a bar on every rear wall. Twenty-three minutes from the plaza, and a good share of these calls come in the dark.
Local pageNorth Concord & Willow Pass
~23 minThe streets running north along Willow Pass Road toward the old Naval Weapons Station, with the North Concord/Martinez BART station, its park-and-ride lots and the frontage roads either side of Highway 242. Twenty-three minutes from the plaza, and much of the work here happens in a parking lot.
Local pageBeside the city
The cities beside it
Pleasant Hill
~23 minThe town immediately west, with its ranch streets off Contra Costa Boulevard and Gregory Lane, the shopping blocks, Diablo Valley College and the canal trail running through the middle of it. Twenty-three minutes from the plaza, and the hardware is largely the hardware we carry for Concord.
Local pagePacheco
~19 minThe small unincorporated place north-west of the city, strung along Pacheco Boulevard with the creek behind it. Older houses on deep lots, wooden porches, sheds and detached garages at the back, a few shops and yards on the main road. Nineteen minutes from the plaza.
Local pageClayton
~29 minThe small town east of the city under Mount Diablo, with its short main street, larger lots on the slopes above it, detached garages, barns on the older parcels and horse property at the edges. Twenty-nine minutes from the plaza, and the run is honest about it.
Local pageMartinez
~28 minThe county seat north of the city, on the water. Narrow lots stepping up the hill, houses from the 1900s through the thirties with deep porches and transoms, the courthouse blocks, shops and restaurants downtown, and the marina below with its boats and dock boxes. Twenty-eight minutes from the plaza.
Local pageWalnut Creek
~24 minWalnut Creek, immediately south down Ygnacio Valley Road or the freeway, is about twenty-four minutes from the plaza, and the figures there are the figures used in Concord.

Give the street, hear the figure, and the door gets opened the way it was built to be opened
Concord, Pleasant Hill, Pacheco, Clayton, Martinez and Walnut Creek, 24/7, holidays included. Say what the door is doing and one figure comes back with the $89 visit already inside it and the hour already counted. The lock is opened without damage wherever it can be, and the receipt shows what the call showed, whether the deed is in your name or the lease is.
